General Terms and Conditions

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the services and products offered by Roots of Wonder, a brand managed by BEST VASTO srls, C.so Garibaldi 135 – Vasto (CH), VAT No. 02624430696, operating in the field of hospitality and local experiences.

Roots of Wonder offers accommodation, food and wine experiences, cultural and wellness activities at its own facilities and in collaboration with selected local partners.

Roots of Wonder is not a tour operator as defined by Legislative Decree 79/2011 (“Tourism Code”) and does not organize package holidays as defined in Articles 32 et seq. of the same decree.
Any combination of services (e.g. accommodation + activity) is offered as linked travel services and does not constitute a package holiday.

Services Offered

Roots of Wonder provides:

• accommodation in affiliated facilities;

• local experiences and activities (e.g. tastings, courses, excursions, workshops);

• catering services;

• collaborations with local partners for the provision of complementary activities.

Each service is clearly and thoroughly described on its dedicated information page. The booking, payment, and cancellation conditions are specified for each activity or stay.

Bookings and Payments

Bookings are subject to availability and become binding only after the receipt of a 25% deposit per person and a confirmation email from Roots of Wonder. The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before arrival. Holidays booked less than 45 days in advance must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Payments can be made via bank transfer (BEST VASTO S.R.L., Account No. 100000005787, IBAN: IT20N0306977913100000005787, SWIFT: BCITITMM, Banca Intesa San Paolo – Corso Europa, 9, 66054 Vasto (CH) – Italy) or credit card via Stripe.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies vary depending on the type of service:

• Accommodation: unless otherwise stated, free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival.

• Experiences or activities: free cancellation up to 15 days before the scheduled date.

In the event of late cancellation or no-show, the amount paid will not be refunded.

Roots of Wonder reserves the right to cancel or modify activities for organizational reasons, adverse weather conditions, or force majeure. In such cases, a full refund or a voucher of equal value will be offered.

Liability

Roots of Wonder is responsible only for services directly organized and managed by its own staff or affiliated facilities.

It cannot be held liable for:

• activities or services managed by third-party partners;

• damages, injuries, or losses resulting from improper use of facilities or equipment;

• events of force majeure, delays, weather conditions, strikes, or other circumstances beyond its control.

Each participant is required to act responsibly and comply with the safety rules provided by the staff.

Insurance

It is strongly recommended to purchase travel cancellation and medical insurance. Any questions regarding travel insurance coverage must be addressed directly to the insurance company.

If you choose to decline insurance coverage, you accept full responsibility for any financial losses related to your travel plans and may lose any investments made or incur additional costs to resolve potential issues.

Program Changes

Although we strive to avoid cancellations and changes to planned trips, advance scheduling sometimes makes them unavoidable. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel or modify a trip under any circumstances, including cancellations due to force majeure or failure to reach the minimum number of participants.

In the event of a significant change or cancellation (e.g. change of accommodation to a lower category or modification of travel dates), we will notify clients as soon as possible and offer the following options:

• Accept the new conditions;

• Choose an alternative trip, subject to availability (if cheaper, the difference will be refunded; if more expensive, the client will pay the difference);

• Withdraw from the trip and receive a full refund of all amounts paid (excluding insurance premiums or other additional costs incurred on behalf of the client).

For minor changes, the above options will not apply. We also reserve the right to refuse or exclude any person whose behavior is deemed disruptive to the group, without refunding the costs incurred by that person.

Prices and Changes

All prices are expressed in Euros (€) and include only the services expressly indicated in the offer description.

Roots of Wonder reserves the right to modify prices in case of significant cost variations (e.g. fuel, taxes, suppliers), notifying clients at least 30 days in advance.
Any changes will not affect bookings already confirmed and paid in full.

Complaints

Any complaints regarding the services received must be submitted in writing to the official Roots of Wonder email address within 10 days after the end of the stay or experience.

We will take care to respond and, if necessary, find a fair and prompt solution.

Use of Images and Content

During experiences or stays, Roots of Wonder may take photos or videos for promotional purposes.
Participants who do not wish to appear in such materials must notify us in writing in advance.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law.
For any dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of the contract, the competent court shall be that of Vasto (Chieti), unless otherwise provided by mandatory law.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions

Roots of Wonder reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Such modifications will be published on the website and will take effect from the date of publication.

Roots of Wonder offers single or linked travel services pursuant to Legislative Decree 79/2011 (“Tourism Code”).
This activity does not constitute the organization or intermediation of complex package holidays.
